Most manufacturers offer a 5 year parts warranty and 20 years on the heat exchanger. Carrier Infinity furnaces have a ten year part warranty and a limited lifetime heat exchanger warranty. While proper maintenance is vital, experts say a furnace that is less than 10 years old doesn’t need third party repair coverage as the factory warranties are sufficient most of the time.
